Which one for your room?

  • 75″ fills 30–40° from 7.5 to 10.2 ft (2.3–3.1 m). Farther than that it starts to feel small for films.
  • 85″ fills 30–40° from 8.5 to 11.5 ft (2.6–3.5 m). Closer than 8.5 ft it goes past 40°: immersive for films, busier for news and sport.
  • Between 8.5 and 10.2 ft both sizes sit in the range, so wall width, budget and what you watch decide.

Measure from your eyes on the sofa to the screen, not wall to wall — the sofa and TV stand usually take a couple of feet out of the room.

Our take. At 10.5 ft (3.2 m) a 75" drops just below 30° (≈29°) while an 85" keeps you inside the recommended range (≈33°). Closer than about 8.5 ft (2.6 m) the 85" passes 40°: immersive for films, more tiring for sport or fast games.

Watch out. Delivery and installation become the constraint: the box is wider than the 85" panel itself (about 74 in / 1.9 m). Check lifts, stair turns and door widths.
